Install These 3 Free Plugins
Before You Use Claude

Most people use Claude straight out of the box. These three make it way more useful: one lets it read the internet, one turns it into a marketing team, and one stops it from using outdated features. All free. One copy-paste prompt installs the whole set.

Start Here

The one prompt that installs all 3

Open Claude Code (or the Code tab in the Claude desktop app) and paste this. It checks you have what you need, installs all three in the right order, verifies each one actually landed, and hands you one thing to type to test each.

It also dodges the four mistakes that make these look installed when they are not. Those are covered at the bottom if you want to know what they are.

Only use claude.ai in the browser? Skip to the manual path below. Two of the three work there.

Copy-paste prompt

You are setting up three free, open-source plugins for Claude Code on my machine: Agent Reach, Marketing Skills and Context7. Install all three, verify each one, then report back.

Do them in this order. Confirm each one actually worked before you move to the next. Explain what you are about to run in plain English before you run it, because I am not technical.

Before anything else, check what I have:
- Run python3 --version (Agent Reach needs Python 3.10 or newer)
- Run node --version (Marketing Skills needs Node, Context7's setup command needs Node 22.13 or newer)
If either is missing or too old, stop and tell me exactly how to install it on my computer, one step at a time. Do not continue until both pass.

1) Agent Reach
Lets you read and search the parts of the internet you normally cannot: YouTube transcripts, Twitter/X, Reddit, GitHub, LinkedIn, RSS and any webpage, plus free full-web search.
Repo: https://github.com/Panniantong/agent-reach (built by Panniantong)

Read the official install guide and follow it exactly:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Panniantong/agent-reach/main/docs/install.md

Rules while you do it:
- Install the agent-reach CLI from the GitHub repo the guide points to. There is an unrelated package with the same name on PyPI. Do not pip install agent-reach from PyPI.
- By default, agent-reach install only checks my system and changes nothing. You have my permission to run it with --system so it actually installs the free dependencies and registers its skill. Show me the dry run first (agent-reach install --env=auto --dry-run), then run the real one.
- Only turn on the zero-setup channels for now (web pages, YouTube, RSS, GitHub public repos, web search). When it asks about Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn or anything that needs a login, list them for me and let me choose later. Do not set up any logins without asking me first.
- When it is done, run agent-reach doctor and show me which channels are working.

2) Marketing Skills
Adds 50 real marketing playbooks: copywriting, SEO, CRO, ads, cold email, landing pages, pricing, launch, lead magnets, analytics and more.
Repo: https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills (built by Corey Haines)

Install it as a Claude Code plugin so it stays updated:

  claude plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills
  claude plugin install marketing-skills@marketingskills

If the plugin commands are not available, use this instead:

  npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills -a claude-code

The -a claude-code flag is not optional. Without it, running from inside an agent session installs to .agents/skills/, which Claude Code does not read. It will look like it worked and nothing will load.

Do not install it both ways. Pick one.

3) Context7
Feeds you the newest official docs for whatever tool, app or library we are working with, so you stop using outdated features or telling me something cannot be done when it can.
Repo: https://github.com/upstash/context7 (built by Upstash)

Install it with the official setup command:

  npx ctx7 setup --claude

It opens a browser window so I can sign in for a free API key. Tell me before it opens and wait for me to finish. When it asks me to choose between "CLI + Skills" and "MCP", recommend MCP and tell me why in one sentence.

If that command fails, fall back to adding the MCP server directly:

claude mcp add --transport http -s user context7 https://mcp.context7.com/mcp

The -s user part matters. Without it, Context7 only works inside this one folder.

Once all three are in, verify:
- Run agent-reach doctor and show me the result.
- Confirm the marketing skills are installed exactly once (no duplicates), and show me the product-marketing skill is there.
- Run claude mcp list (or check the Context7 skill) and confirm Context7 is connected.
- Tell me if I need to restart Claude Code for anything to load.

Then report back in plain English:
- What installed cleanly.
- What did not, with the exact error and the exact fix.
- One thing to type to test each plugin. Use these:
Agent Reach: "Get the transcript of this YouTube video and give me the 5 main points: [paste any YouTube link]"
Marketing Skills: "Use the product-marketing skill to interview me about my business and save the context file." (Tell me to do this one first, because every other marketing skill reads that file.)
Context7: "What are the newest features in [a tool I use]? use context7"

Do not tell me something worked unless you actually checked. If an install failed, say so plainly and give me the fix.

The Three

What each one actually does

👁️

1/ Gives your AI eyes

Agent Reach

Built by Panniantong. 98,900+ GitHub stars. View the repo

Right now your AI is basically blind to half the internet. Ask it what people are saying on Reddit, or what a YouTube video is about, and it just cannot. Agent Reach fixes that. It can read YouTube transcripts, Twitter/X, Reddit, GitHub, LinkedIn, RSS feeds and any webpage, plus run free full-web search. Zero API fees.

The clever part: every platform has a "best way in," and those keep changing. When one gets blocked, Agent Reach swaps to the next one that works. You never touch a config file. One command, agent-reach doctor, tells you what is connected.

2/ A full marketing team

Marketing Skills

Built by Corey Haines. 50 skills, 55,000+ GitHub stars. View the repo

50 free marketing playbooks: copywriting, SEO, CRO, ads, cold email, landing pages, pricing, launch plans, lead magnets, analytics, churn and more. Each one is a real framework written by someone who has run growth for actual companies.

You tell it about your business one time, and every single skill uses that. Ask Claude to fix your landing page without this and it guesses. With it, Claude runs the actual playbook on your actual product.

3/ Fixes outdated answers

Context7

Built by Upstash. 63,000+ GitHub stars. View the repo

Here is what nobody tells you: your AI's knowledge is months old. So it uses outdated features, or tells you something cannot be done when it totally can. Context7 feeds it the newest official docs for whatever tool you are using, pulled fresh every time.

This is the difference between Claude confidently giving you instructions for a button that was renamed six months ago, and Claude giving you the steps that work today.

Every Other Way In

The manual path

The prompt above only works where Claude can run commands on your computer. If you would rather click through it yourself, or you only use Claude in the browser, here is each path.

Claude Code (or the Code tab in the desktop app)

The prompt above does all three. This is the manual version if you would rather run the commands yourself.

Agent Reach: paste "Help me install Agent Reach: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Panniantong/agent-reach/main/docs/install.md"
claude plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills
claude plugin install marketing-skills@marketingskills
npx ctx7 setup --claude

claude.ai in the browser (or the Chat tab in the desktop app)

No terminal here, so it is clicks instead of commands. Two of the three work. Agent Reach needs to run commands on your computer, so it only works in Claude Code.

Context7: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Name it Context7, URL: https://mcp.context7.com/mcp
Marketing Skills: download the skills you want from the repo releases page as ZIPs, then Sidebar, Customize, Skills, Upload a skill. Start with product-marketing.

Read Before You Install

The 5 things that quietly break this

None of these throw an error. They just make a plugin sit there doing nothing while you assume it is working.

Agent Reach does nothing by default

Since its recent update, agent-reach install only checks your computer and changes nothing. It looks finished. It is not. It needs the --system flag to actually install. The prompt above handles this, but if you install by hand, this is the one that gets you.

There is a fake Agent Reach on PyPI

A different package with the same name lives on PyPI. If Claude runs pip install agent-reach, it grabs the wrong thing. The real one installs from the GitHub repo. The prompt tells Claude this up front.

Reddit and Twitter need a login, and use a spare account

YouTube, webpages, GitHub, RSS and search work the second it installs. Reddit and Twitter/X need a logged-in session now (Reddit blocked anonymous access). The project itself says to use a spare account, not your main one, because platforms can flag automated logins.

Fill out the product-marketing skill first

Every one of the 50 marketing skills reads one file first: your product-marketing context. Skip it and the other 49 work blind. Run it once, answer its questions about your business, and every skill after that knows your product.

The -a claude-code and -s user flags

Install Marketing Skills with npx and no -a claude-code flag, and it lands in a folder Claude Code never reads. Add Context7 without -s user, and it only works in the one folder you were in. Both report success. Neither works. The prompt includes both flags.

Credit

I did not build any of these

All three are other people's work, given away free and open source. The only thing here that is mine is the install prompt and the list of things that break.

Agent Reach is by Panniantong. Marketing Skills is by Corey Haines, released under MIT. Context7 is by Upstash.

If any of these save you real time, go star the repo. That is the whole payment these people asked for.
